Quoting the price and deadline:

We’ll give you a firm price quote once we’ve seen your plans or the goods, and you’ve chosen the metal and finish for your project. At this stage we also give the time required to complete your work and the date when it can be scheduled.

Payment:

Work will start on your project once we have a deposit of 50% of the overall price. We ask for payment in full prior to collection.

Are Metalier Coatings paint?

No they are not paint. Metalier coatings are a cold sprayable metallizing process comprised of up to 75% pure metal. Metalier Coatings are an alternative to chrome plating, foundry metal, metallic paint finishes, plating, vacuum metalizing, and other metalizing processes.

Is it metal plating?

No, metal plating is an electro-chemical process. Metalier Coatings are a cold spray metallization process that can be applied to a variety of surfaces. These include but are not limited to: laminates, melamine, wood, plastic, gypsum, fibreglass, ceramics, concrete, foam, porcelain, glass and metal.

Is it powder coating?

No powder coating is baked on. Metalier Coatings do not involve heat and can be sprayed on, rolled on, hand applied or poured on. They may also be cast. Because these are cold application processes there is no heat impact or heat distortion of the substrate.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes over the proper substrate and when correctly applied. Tests have established zero breakdown of our coatings after the equivalent of 20 years exposure. Metalier Coatings are extremely durable.

How many coats are needed?

Metalier International Ltd recommends that two coats be applied in most cases to give a good bond and to enable the product to have maximum visual depth.

What can’t it be applied to?

The only substances known are silicone, unsealed Styrofoam, Teflon and some epoxies.

Do Metalier Coatings shrink?

No, because Metalier coatings are not paint, they do not shrink due to evaporation.

Are Metalier Coatings flexible?

Yes Metalier Coatings can be applied to flexible surfaces. Where repeated flexing or substantial movement is expected, testing will be required.

Do Metalier Coatings conduct electricity?

No Metalier Coatings do not conduct electricity and are non-galvanic.
